The pitch

Type first. Regret magnificently.

A full-length parser-driven romantic fantasy farce in the tradition of classic interactive fiction, only better dressed and far less responsible. Type commands, solve improper problems, charm terrible people, survive six branching suites, and discover which of five endings the Castle thinks you deserve.

01 / Say what you mean

The command line is the conversation.

Everything happens through text. Examine the velvet rope, flatter the vampire, steal something inadvisable, or attempt a solution no committee would have approved. The parser handles the verbs while the prose handles the consequences.

  • Typed commands with aliases and contextual responses
  • No point-and-click hotspots disguised as adventure
  • Off-path attempts earn authored jokes and useful nudges

02 / Six doors, poor judgment

Every suite is its own romantic catastrophe.

Vampires, werewolves, masked royalty, duelists, barbarians, and magical tutors each bring a different social puzzle and a different interpretation of “private chambers.” Routes split, solutions overlap, and the Castle notices how you behave.

  • Six distinct suite worlds with multiple approaches
  • Puzzles reward observation, nerve, and cheek
  • Five endings reflect alliances, bargains, and disasters

03 / A book that performs

Prose gets a stage without becoming a slideshow.

Illustrated plates establish major thresholds, then get out of the prose’s way. An original score, authored sound effects, selective voice lines, animated ink, and accessible captions give important moments weight without converting the game into hotspot tourism.

  • Selective scene art rather than an illustration tax
  • Spotlight voice with score ducking and captions
  • Reduced-motion, mute, keyboard, and mobile support

Under the box art

The build, by layer.

Current build

What changed lately.

Product polish with a little patch-note scar tissue left visible.

  1. v1.0.0

Full campaign, six suites, five endings, saves, score, voice, and all necessary impropriety.

  2. v0.9.0

Parser hardened. Fate Rewinds capped at three. Furniture increasingly suspicious.
